Shell TechWorks was founded in 2013 as a commercial start-up company inside Shell (a technology think tank). They are an open innovation program which brings together entrepreneurs and technology start-ups from outside the energy industry. Its goal is to find faster, more cost-effective ways to deliver technologies that the industry needs, for environments where safety is paramount, to produce more energy now and in the future.
Scalio works with Shell TechWorks on a number of global initiatives throughout Shell, however the details of these projects cannot be disclosed. What can be said is, we're working with Shell to help solve one of the world’s greatest challenges: how to meet growing demand for affordable energy with less environmental impact.
