Scalio developed Blekko's Izik on iOS for iPhone & iPad, Android for tablet and phone, and Kindle readers. Due to Blekko's recent acquisition by IBM, all apps have been removed from their respective stores.
The goal with Izik was to move the task-oriented search product we all use on our computers (aka 10 inch blue links) and turn it into a more fun, tablet (and phone) appropriate product. That means an image-rich layout with an appearance and experience very different than what consumers we're accustom to.
Both iOS and Android apps hit top 5 in each store for 8 consecutive months. Izik was also featured by Apple in the iTunes store and was consistently ranked over Google in the Reference category, holding the number 1 spot for 6 consecutive months.
